Prof. Reda Alhajj

Reda Alhajj is a professor of Computer and Data Science. He is affiliated with the University of Calgary, Istanbul Medipol University and the University of Southern Denmark. He published over 600 papers in refereed international journals, conferences and edited books. He served on the program committee of several international conferences. He is founding editor in chief of many of Springer journals. Dr. Alhajj's primary work and research interests focus on various aspects of data science and big data.

Alaa Sheta is a tenured Professor at Southern Connecticut State University's Computer Science Department in New Haven, CT, USA. He earned his B.E. and M.Sc. degrees in electronics and communication engineering from Cairo University's Faculty of Engineering in 1988 and 1994, respectively. In 1997, he completed his Ph.D. from George Mason University's Computer Science Department at the School of Information Technology and Engineering in Fairfax, VA, USA. Prof. Sheta has an extensive publication record, with over 180 papers published in various journals and conferences. He has successfully supervised numerous M.Sc. graduate students and Ph.D. students in the United States, United Kingdom, Jordan, and Syria. Additionally, he has authored two books: "Landmine Detection and Classification" and "Image Reconstruction of a Manufacturing Process," both published by LAP LAMBERT Academic Publishing. His research includes meta-heuristics search algorithms, data sciences, machine learning, data mining, image processing, deep learning, and robotics.
