Kamal has over 30 years of telecom and ICT leadership, He managed to drive digital transformation, cybersecurity excellence, and innovation across converged telecom and fintech ecosystems. Passionate about delivering technology strategies that enable operational agility, customer experience, and financial inclusion while fostering collaboration across global and regional technology teams.
Kamal’s current title is Director of Cyber Security, Cloud & IP Engineering @Orange Egypt. His mission revolves around pioneering innovative solutions that safeguard the digital systems serving >34 million subscribers in FBB , MBB in B2C & B2B domains. His leadership has enhanced Orange Egypt's cybersecurity posture, while accelerating the digital transformation of Orange Egypt systems, to enhance customers’ Net Promoter Score. Kamal actively participates in industry conferences and initiatives aimed at improving customer experience, cybersecurity awareness and community development.
• Kamal holds a Master of Science degree, in Business Information Technology from Middlesex University, UK – 2005 with a thesis titled “Designing a security framework for a Mobile Ticketing system based on the Technology Acceptance Model”.
• Bachelor of Science in Electronics & Communications Engineering from Cairo University, Faculty of Engineering – 1993, with a SCADA project
• Kamal joined Orange Egypt (Mobinil) Egypt’s first Mobile operator, since 1998 and has led several teams in IT & Network departments. Current scope includes.
