Reader in Software Engineering, Leader of Software Engineering Research Group -Centre for Complex Cooperative Systems, Department of Computer Science and Creative Technologies, Faculty of Environment and Technology, University of West of England, he will address the title: Knowledge-driven Requirements Engineering.

Leads the Software Engineering Research Group (SERG) and has more than twenty two years of experience in the field of software engineering and in particular the engineering of software development with significant management responsibilities including project management running in parallel to academic and research responsibilities. In additon, Dr. Odeh has been actively engaged in research bidding, European research projects, and knowledge exchange partnerships. He has been co-investigator on EU FP5, FP6, and AsiaLink projects namely, MammoGrid, Health-e-Child, STAFF. He is the UWE principal investigator on the OntoREM knowledge exchange partnership with Airbus, and the SoAgile project being reviewed. He has about 45 publications to his record with several journal papers in leading journals.

His main research interest include bridging the gap between business process models and system models, ontology-driven requirements engineering, semantic and service-oriented software engineering, software cost estimation, grid computing, and knowledge managment. His applied software engineering experinece has been associated with banking, aerospace manufacturing, and medical informatics.
