In conjunction with the ACIT Conference, dedicated competition and hackathon events will be organized to foster research innovation, encourage collaboration between academia and industry, and promote the development of practical solutions to challenging problems in artificial intelligence and information technologies.

Note : Participation in these events is free of charge.

Competition: Robust Reading Challenge on Arabic Scene Text Detection & Script Identification

Participants are invited to develop robust and effective models for Arabic scene text detection and script identification. The proposed models will be evaluated using the ACIT-C dataset, which contains 3,078 training images.

The final evaluation will be conducted by the competition jury using a held-out test subset of the ACIT-C dataset, which will not be made available to participants. Performance will be assessed using word-level text detection metrics.

Challenge: BrainAgenticThon

This challenge invites participants to design innovative AI-driven solutions that address real-world challenges in brain health, including the detection, diagnosis, monitoring, and management of neurological disorders.

Participants are invited to form teams of 2–4 members and register through the following form: https://bit.ly/BrainAgenticthon2026 . During registration, teams will be asked to provide the title and a brief description of their proposed project.

Following the selection process, shortlisted teams will be invited to a pitch session, where they will present their innovative projects and highlight their proposed solutions, methodology, and potential impact to a jury of academic and industry experts.
